Hello!
About me:
I am Alchemist Data Diva, a student at Colorado Technical
University pursuing a doctorate in computer science with a concentration in big
data analytics. Outside my studies, I am very busy with my faith,
family, farm, and fun. I am the director
of a faith-based camp for at-risk children, which keeps me busy with fundraising,
recruiting, and training year-round. I have four sons that have given me ten
grandchildren that are all amazing. I have a hobby farm with many kinds of
animals. My grandkids love to visit. One stated, “Going to grandma’s is like going
to the zoo.” I have worked for the same agricultural company in IT and various business areas for twenty-three years.
I love data and the knowledge it gives leaders in making strategic decisions.
I love travel and adventure. Jumping out
of a plane once was good, but it is checked off my bucket list of awesome things
to try.
About my class:
The class that I am currently enrolled in is CS875, Futuring and
Innovation. The course is part of the core Doctor of Computer Science courses. The central theme of the class is thinking and learning
about technology and where it may take us in the future. I love dreaming about where we will be in ten
years and beyond. I love the Jetsons and
believe I can have a “Rosie” in just a few years.
About this Blog:
I will utilize this blog to share not only what I am learning in
my doctoral classes but also what I am learning about AI and technology in general. Just yesterday, I set up weekly meetings with my
teams at work to meet and share what we are learning about AI and how we use it at work and in our daily lives. As new things are shared in these meetings, I
will share them in this blog.
And here we go…..
